My family started a medical supply business in the early 2000’s. I began getting involved in the industry as I had some sales and technical experience. At the time, we noticed a demand for mobility scooters and power wheelchairs. Although many medical suppliers provided these units, most of them did not have a repair center. I met many people who owned these devices which were not in working condition, and they were clueless on how to find a company who can repair them, which there were hardly none that existed until the birth of TRIPLE M MOBILITY
While delivering medical supplies I met a disabled lady, completely dependent on her power wheelchair, but her chair was not working. She'd explained to me she had tried for months to find someone to repair her unit but had no luck.
I took a look at her chair figured out the problem and it was her batteries, ordered batteries and fixed it, this elderly lady was so excited to see her chair operating, she cried tears of joy, she was independent again. This touched me, and I immediately understood my calling. These machines operate on rechargeable batteries with multiple electrical components that require regular servicing. I found that very few companies had the skills to service these units,,, So I decided to get certified with some of the manufacturers of scooters and power wheelchairs. I then started a repair service center for power wheelchairs and scooters.
I have been handling electric scooters and power wheelchair repairs for more than a decade now, starting back in 2004. Back then it was easier to get power wheelchairs and scooters through medical insurance. Today, the process has become much harder, longer waits and strict criteria to qualify for one, a large number of people get denied after a long wait so some rather not go through all the red tape and decide to directly purchase them. Even though they are expensive, I found a way to refurbish them as good as new back by a guarantee, to make it affordable for those who's pocket do not stretch out as much but I work with all my clients to make it easy.
I believe what sets me apart is my trust, loyalty, care, and the basic concept of, ‘we will be there for you and not leave you out in the cold with no mobility device we will do our best to work with you’. At the end of the day, seeing happy customers is the best part of running the business. There is no way to describe the joy one feels after assisting someone back to their independence. I have to attribute all of my success to God and feel strongly about peace and love and helping, a there isn’t enough of either of the two in this world, but I'll do my best to put in my part.
Every entrepreneur needs a break, and when I am not at work, I find ways to make it better for the business family friends and self, I work on inner change and try to be a better person through reading and studying new things.
